More than 60 skateboarders, scooting enthusiasts and BMX riders attended the City of Gosnells Night Skate Jam event on December 13.
Mills Park was filled with adrenaline and excitement as the night jam session dedicated for young people got underway, with no strict age restriction.

City of Gosnells Mayor David Goode said the night jam timeslot allows participants to escape the heat and make the most of the city’s facilities, under the new LED lighting.
“This provides a safe, positive and encouraging environment for all to enjoy,” he said. There was also a free barbecue, spot prizes and giveaways.
Registration information can be found on the city’s youth website thehive.net.au.
The city also hosts a variety of other skate programs as part of its Roll on Skate Park series, including learn to skate and scooter clinics, girls-only events, drop-in sessions and more.
